Product details

Méteil Proti is a crop blend designed for the production of highly nutritious forage, combining cereals and legumes to provide a balanced supply of protein, starch, and cellulose. Thanks to its diverse composition, it ensures uniform growth and better risk distribution, as each component reacts differently to varying climatic conditions.

Its high legume content (forage peas, Narbonne vetch, winter vetch) enables natural nitrogen fixation, reducing fertilizer requirements. In addition to limiting weed development and the need for herbicides, Méteil Proti provides excellent digestibility and highly structural forage for livestock.

Its harvesting flexibility allows for several options:

  • Late April–early May: mowing and early silage harvest for rapid utilization and establishment of a following crop.
  • Late June–early July: direct-cut silage harvest at the dough grain stage.

Its establishment is simple and rapid, allowing optimization of forage areas and increased protein self-sufficiency for livestock producers.

Advantages

  • Balanced forage in protein, starch, and cellulose.
  • Reduced need for fungicides and herbicides.
  • Reduced fertilization requirements thanks to nitrogen fixation.
  • Yield security through species diversity.
  • Easy and quick to establish.
  • Adaptable harvesting depending on farm requirements and the following crop.
